van zand krijgt Broc nooit geen genoeg / Sand never grows old

We zijn druk aan de gang op ons stuk grond. Daddy is de bomen aan 't omdoen die weg moeten zodat 't huis gebouwd kan worden.
We hebben een kampvuurtje gemaakt zodat we meteen de takken kunnen opbranden en Broc zorgt d'r voor dat 't vuurtje blijft branden.
We are busy working at our block. Daddy is dropping the trees that have to be cleared and while we are cleaning it all up we build a campfire so we can burn the branches straight away.
Broc is keeping an eye on the fire.

Daddy is ook zand palen aan 't maken waar dat ie aan 't graven is en Broc weet wel raad met zo'n bergje.
Daddy is digging and making piles of dirt.
Broc loves playing on those piles.

Kijk mommy ik kan naar beneden glijden.
Look mommy i can slide down.

Thuis kan Broc ook lekker met zand spelen, op de oprit en lekker kliederen met water daar houd ie wel van.
Broc plays with the sand from the driveway at home as well. Here he can combine it with water so that's super fun.

maar goed dat we een washmachine hebben / thank goodness for the washing machine

circus

D'r is weer een circus in 't dorp en we gaan gezellig met z'n drien kijken.
Broc is helemaal onder de indruk hij vind 't geweldig.
There is a circus in town and we are going.
Broc is loving it and can't take his eyes away from the arena.

Helemaal top ze hebben diertjes.
De ponies zijn zo schattig en hebben de beste trukjes.
The horses are the best they have such funny tricks.

Maar de acrobatische meisjes hebben Broc toch echt onder de indruk.
But the girls with their tricks high up in the air have Broc really intrigued.

In de pauze krijgt ie een speeltje en daarna is 't gedaan, dit ding heeft nu al z'n attentie.
In the brake he gets a toy and after that that's it no more watching the show Broc is too busy playing with it.

moederdag 2017 - mothersday 2017

Het is weer zover 't is weer moederdag Mommy's favourite dag van 't jaar.
Dit jaar heeft Broc zelf de cadeautjes gekocht. Op school had ze een markt waar de kinderen voor hun mommy cadeautjes konden kopen.
Broc was so enthousiast hij wilde mommy vertellen wat ie voor d'r had gekocht. Mommy zie nee niet vertellen want 't is een verassing.
Ok but it will smell nice in the new bath mommy.
En later zei die snel tussen neus en lippen door; it's a mug. haha
It's mommy's favourite day of the year again. Mothersday.
Broc did his own shopping this year they had stalls with presents at the school library so the kids could go buy something.
Broc was so exited he wanted to tell what he had bought but mommy said no then it won't be a surpise any more.
Ok but it will smell nice in our new bath mommy.
and a bit later he quickly spat out: it's a mug. haha.

Hij heeft een hele tas vol met cadeautjes en gooit 't leeg op 't bed.
He has got a whole bag full of presents and empties it all on the bed.

Niet alleen bad zeep, maar ook bad zout. lekker hoor. En een mooi hartje doosje.
not just bath soap but also bath salt. nice. It's in a nice love hart box.

Een sjaaltje voor de koude dagen.
A scarf for the cold days.

Oh en hier is m'n onverwachte koffie kop. lol

Mommy is lekker verwend door Broc en daddy, die had een bosje bloemen gekocht.
Mommy is spoiled rotten by Broc and daddy, who bought flowers for mommy.

Broc heeft ook in de krant gestaan nadat de journalist naar school was gekomen om de kinderen te intervieuwen over moederdag.
Broc also hit the news paper after the journalist came over to ask the kids about mothersday.

vanalles wat - all sorts of stuff

Daddy heeft een pijp in de grond gelegd zodat de volgende keer als 't regent 't water daar door weg kan en we ons geen zorgen hoeven te maken dat 't water de muur van de dam wegspoelt.
Broc past d'r precies in.
Daddy put a pipe in the road next to the dam so that next time it rains the water can run through it to the neighbours and we don't have to worry that the dam wall gets washed away.
Broc fits perfectly in the hole.

Mommy keek op d'r mobiel en zag dat iemand d'r mee gespeelt had. Blijkbaar is 't leuk om foto's te maken terwijl je chips eet.
Mommy went to check her phone and found that someone had been playing with it.
Apparently taking selfies whilst eating chippies is fun.

Op school gaat 't ook goed en mommy komt binnenlopen terwijl Broc met een science project bezig is.
Broc is having fun at school and mommy walks in during the science project.

Na school gaan we boodschappen doen en Broc mag alles scannen.
After school we are going to the shopping and Broc can do the checkout.

Als alle boodschappen gescanned zijn mag ie betalen.
Mommy had alleen maar een $50 briefje en de rekening was maar $20. Toen al 't wisselgeld d'r uit kwam dacht Broc dat ie de loterij had gewonnen hij was zo blij met al 't geld.
After all the groceries have been scanned Broc can pay. It was only $20 so when all the change came out Broc thought he had won the lottery he was so exited.

pasen - easter

De paashaas is weer geweest en Broc gaat de tuin rond om de eitjes te zoeken.

the Easter bunny has come around again, so Broc scurries the garden for chocolate eggs.

Ze liggen overal. Die haas is maar ene rare om zo overal rond te huppelen.
Eggs everywhere, that silly bunny just hops around randomly.

Broc heeft ze allemaal gevonden en gooit z'n mandje leeg om ze met daddy te tellen.
Broc telt tot 10 toen vergat ie wat numers en zei d'r wat dubbel. Toen ie klaar was (20) zei daddy dat doen we nog een keer want ik denk niet dat dat goed is.
Done Broc has found all the eggs and together with daddy he starts counting them. After 10 he skipped some numbers and dubbled up some others, so when he finished counting (20) daddy said: we do this again and this time we count properly.

Dus de eitjes weer uit 't mandje en nog een keer goed tellen.
So Broc empty's the basket again for a recount.

En wie had dat gedacht 20 eitjes had ie 't de eerste keer toch goed haha
Who would have thought 20 eggs. he counted right the first time. haha

op visite bij groot opa - visiting Pa

Tante Muziek is weer in 't land, ze blijft bij haar vader en dus gaan we d'r een gezellig familie weekendje van maken. Mason komt ook en groot opa gaat 'm voor de 1ste keer ontmoeten.

De 4 generaties gaan samen op de foto want groot opa is erg ziek.

Aunty music is back in the country she is staying with her dad (pa). The whole familie is coming together and Pa is meeting Mason for the 1st time.

While we are there we take another photo of the 4 generations.

Mason is d'r eindelijk en Pa en Mason kunnen 't samen meteen goed vinden.

Mason has finally arrived and gets to meet pa. They get on straight away.

Dan is 't eindelijk Broc z'n beurd om met Mason te spelen hij heeft hier al zo lang op zitten wachten.
After cuddling everyone else it's finally Broc's turn to play with mason. Broc has been waiting to play with Mason so he is very exited.

Hop paardje hop.

Hey horsie hey.

Samen liedjes zingen met tante Muziek. Dat is altijd leuk en omdat ze muziek les geeft in Hongkong heeft ze van liedjes wel kaas gegeten.

Aunty music has no shortage in songs being a music teacher so the afternoon is filled with laughter and singing.

Waar we savond's uit eten gaan hebben ze een geweldige speeltuin Broc heeft geen tijd om te eten die speelt liever in de zandbak.

The place where we are going for dinner has the best ever sandpit, Broc has no time to eat he just wants to play in the sand.

Geen nood Broc heeft zandkoekjes gemaakt dus die vullen 't buikje mooi.

No worries Broc has made sand cakes so no excuse for an empty tummy.

Voordat we gingen had mommy Broc een knip beurd gegeven en Broc wilde graag een patroontje in z'n haar. Lekker stoer die jongen van ons.

Before we went mommy gave Broc a haircut and he wanted something shaved in his hair, and this is what mommy came up with.

Broc thought he looked super cool.

Op de terug weg stopte we bij de go kart baan en terwijl daddy de rit aan 't regelen was ging Broc op de motor.

On the way home we stopped at the go kart place and while daddy was organising the race Broc played on the motor bike.

voor de eerste keer in de go kart. Hij gaat wat langzaam maar oh wat een lol.

for the 1st time in the go kart, it's a bit slow, but heaps of fun.

plezier op ons stuk grond - fun at the block

We hebben weer een kamp vuurtje. Daddy heeft een vuur vergunning en we gaan het hout opstoken waar we niks aan hebben.

Voor de gezelligheid hebben we wat vrienden gevraagd om langs te komen, ook leuk voor Broc, die kan lekker met de andere kinderen spelen.

Mummy heeft wat brood deeg gemaakt, we kneden dat om een stokje en dan gaan we gezellig ons brood bakken boven de vlammen.

De kinderen vonden 't kei skon en lekker met boter en golden syrup.

We are going to burn the scrap wood that's laying around.

We asked some friends to come for dinner and because they are bringing the kids it's heaps of fun for Broc to.

Mummy made damper dough that we wrap around a stick and cook over the flames. The kids loved it, especially with the butter and golden syrup.

Mummy heeft de hammock opgehangen en Broc ligt lekker te schommelen.
Mummy hang up the hammock and Broc is swinging in the trees.

Het heeft vanacht weer geregend en de auto zit onder de modder, maar geen noot Broc kan goed met de waterslang overweg.
After the rain last night the car is very muddy, but no worries Broc knows how to handle a water hose.

Een paar dagen per week gaat Broc naar een na school opvang centre. Z'n beste maatje gaat daar ook naar toe, maar die gaan verhuizen en vandaag is de laatste dag voordat ze vertrekken dus even snel een foto'tje van de twee vriendjes.
Broc goes to after school care a couple of day's per week, his best buddy goes there as well, but they are moving and this is his last day, so quick one last photo before he goes.

We're going to miss you
