droog ijs - dry ice

Ome Berenboel heeft weer wat spul van 't werk mee naar huis genomen.
Hij wil ons nog wat meer truckjes laten.
Terwijl hij alles aan 't klaarzetten is zijn Broc en Birke lekker aan 't kokkerellen achter in de tuin.
Zo te zien hebben we zometeen lekker eigen gebakken brood.
Uncle Bear familie took some stuff home from work because he want's to show us some more of his science tricks.
While he is setting things up Broc and Birke are cooking in the back yard.
It looks like we are getting home made bread.

Ome Berenboel heeft 't vuurtje al aangestoken, maar hij is helemaal niet van plan om broodjes te bakken, hij blaast wat spul door een slangetje heen en d'r onstaat ineens een grote steekvlam.
Uncle Bear familie lit the fire, but it's not for the bread he blows some stuff through a hose and all the sudden there is this big flame coming out of the fire.

Vol verwachting zitten we te kijken wat ie nog meer in petto heeft voor ons.
We are all very exited to see what is next.

Dan haalt ie 't droog ijs tevoorschijn en laat 't de kids zien, hij zegt dat ze mogen blazen maar niet aanraken.
He grabs the pot with dry ice and shows it to the kids. He tells them they can blow the smoke but not touch the pot.

Als ie de pot op de grond zet komt de rook uit de pot en verspreid over de grond.
When he puts the pot on the ground the smoke starts travelling all over the grass.

Broc vind 't maar wat interessant, maar is ook een beetje worried om d'r in te staan, maar al snel heeft ie in de gaten dat 't gerust kan.
First Broc is a bit worried to stand in it but then he realizes that it won't do him any harm and he loves the affect it gives off.

Broc is maar een bofkont met zo'n coole oom, ome Berenboel kent een hoop truukjes door 't werk en nu laat ie de kids d'r een zien met een ballon.
Hij vult de fles met een of ander poeder en vloeistof.
Broc is one lucky chappy, he has the cooles uncle on the planet and he knows lots of cool tricks through work.
Today he is going to show us a trick with a balloon.
He fills up the bottle with some powder and liquid.

Dan doet ie een ballon boven op de opening.
Then he puts a balloon on top of the hole.

En zonder te blazen word de ballon opgeblazen.
And without blowing the balloon blows up.

Broc vind 't maar spannend en daddy moet hem vast houden.
Broc thinks it's a bit scary so he wants daddy to hold him.

trein ritje - train trip

We gaan met z'n alle een midagje met de trein.
De Berenboel woont vlak bij 't station dus lopen we daar heen.
Mummy d'r vriendin en d'r zoontje gaan ook gezellig met ons mee.
We are going for a train ride, the Bear family lives close to the train station so we all walk.
Mommy's friend is here as well with her son and they are coming with us on this fun trip.

In de trein wil Broc langs daddy en 't raampje, het is een dubbel dekker en we zitten bovenin dus we kunnen lekker veel zien.
Broc want's to sit next to daddy and beside the window, we are sitting on top of the double decker train and we can see heaps.

Hier zitten we dan met z'n allen.
Here we are settled in the train.

En wij zitten aan de overkant.
And we are sitting across the lane from the others.

In de stad aangekomen gaan we een ijsje eten. Gelukkig is 't zonnetje uit en is 't niet al te koud.
When we arrive in the city we stop to get an ice cream. Lucky the sun is out and it is not so cold.

Weer terug in de trein naar huis heeft Broc een lekkere originele nederlandse chocolade melk. Ook nog nooit gehad.
Back on the way home Broc gets a original dutch chocolate drink. He hasn't had one of them before and he loves it.

pasen in nederland - easter in Holland

De paashaas komt hier ook en vol enthousiasme gaan Broc, Birke en Magnus in de tuin op zoek naar de eitjes die hij heeft achtergelaten.
The easter bunny comes to Holland as well and Broc runs in the yard with cousins looking for the eggs.

Nou die haas gaat ook overal in zitten hier heeft ie zelf eitjes achter gelaten in de pot plant.
Well that bunny gets around hier he even got into the pot plants.

En in de boom? Hoe kan hij zo hoog springen.
In the tree? How can he jump so high.

Broc en Birke gaan ook nog ff in oma's tuin tafeltje kijken, je weet ooit nooit.
Broc and Birke are checking out oma's garden table you never know.

Zelfs daddy is in de paas stemming en heeft paas kuikens in z'n baard hangen.
Even daddy is in the easter mood and has easter chickens hanging of his beard.

Checking onze vonst en smullen maar.
Checking our catch and now digging into that delicious chocolate.
