dag 5 - 5th day

Vandaag is de dag waar daddy zo lang naar uitgekeken heeft.
Helicopter vissen.
Gister avond hebben ome vliegtuig van 't vliegveld afgehaald want die gaat met daddy mee.
Als we aankomen laat de piloot ons de vis tank zien met een Barramundi d'r in.
Dat is de soort vis waar ze voor gaan, die kan wel over 1.50m worden en zijn goede vechters.
Broc mag de vis een snack geven dus houd daddy hem omhoog zodat ie d'r bij kan.
Finally daddy's day has arrived.
He is going helicopter fishing.
Last night daddy picked up uncle plane from the airport, he is going fishing with daddy.
When we get there the guy shows us his fish tank with his Barra in there.
He needs a snack and Broc can give him a prawn.

Bij de helicopter word d'r 't een en ander uitgelegd en Broc luisterd vol aandacht mee.
At the helicopter they are being told about all the rules and regulations. Broc is taking it all in.

Dan mag ie ook nog even in de helicopter zitten, dat vond ie wel leuk.
And then the man says he can sit in the helicopter OMG so much fun.

Toen was 't tijd voor daddy en ome vliegtuig om te vertrekken en deden wij ze uitzwaaien.
Broc moest zo huilen want hij wilde zo graag mee.
It was time for the boys to leave on their trip so we waved them goodbye, but Broc was so upset he really liked to have gone with them.

Onderweg naar huis zagen we een road train waar Australie zo beroemd om is.
On the way home we see a real road train so exiting.

Wij gaan lekker met z'n tween zwemmen in 't golfslag bad, maar omdat dat nog niet open is gaan we eerst naar 't strandje tegenover, maar goed dat we de monster trucks bij hebben.
We are going to the golf pool today, but it's still early and it's not open yet, so first we go to the little beach across the road lucky we have the monster trucks with us.

Als 't golfslagbad eindelijk open is kunnen we in 't water.
We hebben ook een body board gepakt zodat we kunnen peddelen in de golven, maar Broc vind 't wel erg leuk in 't kinder badje.
Finally the golf pool is open and we can go into the water.
we also grabbed a free boogy board so we can peddle in the waves, but first Broc wants to play in the kids pool.

Ff een happy kiekje met z'n tween.
Happy together.

Broc vind de fonteintjes wel erg leuk van de golven in 't grote bad moest ie niks hebben.
Broc loves the little fountains, but he is not to keen on the big waves in the big pool.

s'Middags gaan we daddy weer ophalen en onderweg terug naar huis zien we de regenboog kleuren in de wolken. Jammer dat 't op de foto niet zo goed uitkomt.
After Broc's sleep it's time again to pick the boys up and on the way back home again we see the rainbow colours in the clouds. To bad the camera doesn't pick up on them properly.

Het was weer een hete dag en daddy en ome vliegtuig zijn erg verbrand dus we brengen de middag/avond weer door in 't zwembad.
Broc vind 't erg gezellig met ome vliegtuig en laat 'm niet met rust.
It was another very hot day and both of the boys where burned like a crisp so we spend the afternoon early night in the pool again.
Broc loves playing with uncle plane.

Uiteindelijk moeten we toch een keer eten en ome vliegtuig trakteert ons met een etentje in 't hotel restaurant.
Omdat hij bij ons op 't extra bed d'r bij mag betaald ome vliegtuig de rekening. (als ik dat geweten had had ik niet 't duurste gerecht gepakt en zeker niet 't toetje haha)
But eventually we have to go and have dinner and because we don't feel like going anywhere we decide to have dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Lucky for us uncle Plane paid for us. ( I wish he had told us before hand I wouldn't have picked the dearest meal in the place lol + desert)

4e dag - day 4

Vandaag gaan we naar het vliegtuig museum. 
Dit is 't enige museum in 't zuidelijk halfrond die een B52 tentoon gesteld heeft staan.
We pakken gezellig weer de bus vandaag dus moeten we even wachten tot ie d'r is.
Today we are going to the aviation museum.
This is the only museum in the southern hemisphere to have a B52 displayed.
We are going with the bus so we have to wait till it gets here.

Dat vliegtuig is zo groot 't past maar net in de hal.
This plane is huge it only just fits in the hangar.

Met een trapje konden we omhoog zodat we binnen in de kokpit konden kijken.
We went for a look inside the cockpit.

Het mocht wel eigenlijk niet, maar Broc wilde d'r zo graag in stoute mummy en daddy ;)
This was not really aloud, but mummy and daddy cant help to be a bit naughty sometimes.

Hier mocht ie wel in en terwijl Broc in 't vliegtuig aan 't spelen was keken wij naar de documentare van de oorlog met de Japanese in Darwin.
No problem with this plane this specially for little kids, while Broc was playing in here we watched a documentary about the Darwin Bombings.

s'Middags gingen we weer naar 't zwembad en Broc stond een beetje onschuldig langs de zonnestoel.
Mummy vroeg wat d'r was, maar Broc schreeuwde dat ie met rust gelaten wilde worden.
Back at the pool in the afternoon.
Just as mummy put everything down and asked Broc to come into the water she saw he was standing behind the seat looking very inconspicuous, so she asked what was going on.
He screamed at mummy saying GO AWAY.

Natuurlijk had mummy wel in de gaten wat d'r aan de hand was.
Broc wil niet op de w.c. poepen en dus doet ie net of d'r niks aan de hand is maar tijdens 't drukken is 't toch wel een beetje moeilijk om je gezicht onschuldig te houden.
Mummy is not silly and knew what was going on, Broc doesn't want to do his number two's on the toilet and that was what he was doing, unfortunately he failed in keeping a straight face the whole way through.

s'Avonds gaan we de auto ophalen en gaan een eindje rijden. We besluiten om bij de oceaan in een restaurant uit eten te gaan.
Daddy heeft nog nooit de zon onder zien gaan over de oceaan dus dat was wel speciaal.
That night we picked up the car and went for a drive.
We had dinner on the ocean and while we had that the sun was setting. Daddy had never seen the sunset over the ocean before so that was very special.

dag 3 - day 3

Vandaag blijven we lekker in Darwin.
Met de benen wagen gaan we op onderzoek, we hebben geen auto en 't is hier snik heet en kei benauwd.
Onderweg naar 't strand lopen we lekker in de shaduw en stoppen we even voor een kiekje.
Today we are staying in Darwin and going for a look around there.
We are footing it everywhere because we don't have a car, but darn it's hot.
On our way down to the beach we have some shade en we stop for a photo.

We gaan niet dicht bij 't water want je weet maar nooit hier met de krokodillen en we blijven ook niet lang rondhangen voordezelfde reden.
We are not getting close to the water and neither are we hanging around on the beach you never know when the crocodiles are looking for lunch.

Weer boven op de berg aangekomen zijn we weer veilig van het wildlife en vragen we iemand of die even een foto van ons wil maken.
Aan de rand hier staan de kanonnen die ze gebruikte in de oorlog toen de Japanners Darwin aanvielen. 
Back on top of the hill and in the sun we asked someone to take a pickture from us. Along here are the canon's set up to protect Darwin.

na 't middag slaapje gaan we weer op onderzoek, we hebben gehoord dat d'r een plekje is waar je de visjes kunt voeren, dus daar gaan we naar op zoek.
Eindelijk hebben we 't gevonden het was een hele wandeling en Broc heeft 't wel vort gehad met het lopen hier in de hitte.
Ze hadden brood dat we mochten gebruiken om de vissen te voeren.
After Broc's afternoon sleep we head of again, someone told us there is a place where you can go and feed the fish.
It took a while before we found it and Broc had had it with the walking around in the heat.
They supplied the bread to feed the fishes
.

D'r was ook een speeltuin en Broc wilde op de shommel.
Broc also had fun on the swing.

Voordat we weer gaan gaan we nog weer ff de visjes voeren deze keer zien we ook een ander soort.
Before we go we give the fishes some more bread, this time we find some other breed of fish..

Om de terug wandeling wat te breken stoppen we bij een speeltuintje in 't park.
To brake the walk on the way back we stop at the park so Broc can have a little play.

Als Broc in de douche geweest is vraagt ie daddy om een treatment, maar daar moet je voor bij mummy zijn, dus zo gauw als mummy klaar is krijgt Broc een behandeling voordat ie gaat slapen.
Broc asks daddy for a treatment when he comes out of the shower, but daddy tells him to ask mummy, so as soon as mummy is finished she gives Broc a treatment.

2e dag - day 2

Hier in de Northern Territory leven de krokodillen in 't wild rond.
We willen ze graag zien, maar gaan daarvoor veilig naar een park.
Omdat we geen auto hebben gaan we gezellig met de bus, daar is Broc ook nog nooit in geweest en hij vind 't geweldig.
The crocodiles live in the wild here in the Northern Territory, but for a close up look we take it safe and go to see them in the park.
We don't have a car so we travelling by bus.
Broc has never been in a bus before and he thinks it's pretty cool.

De bus zet ons voor de deur af.
The bus drops us off right in front of the park.

In 't park is ook nog een leuk bord voor de foto.
There is sign in the park for cool photo.

Ze hebben een erg vriendelijk Galah die graag z'n kopje gekrapt wil hebben.
Totdat ie in mummy z'n vinger beet toen was t afgelopen met kriebelen.
The Galah likes his head scratched, but after biting mummy's finger he is not getting any more of that.

De krokodillen wonen in afegezette areas en meestal als een koppeltje.
The crocodiles live in little enclosures en often as a pair.

We gaan op een wandel toer en 't vrouwtje laat d'r een uit 't water springen voor een stukje kip.
The lady from the tour shows us how quick they can jump out of the water for some food.

Op 't einde van de wandel toer gaat 't vrouwtje even weg en hebben we een snack.
When we are back at the start she goes and we have some fruit snacks.

Als ze terug komt heeft ze 2 baby krokodilletjes bij en mogen we die vast houden.
Broc wil 't niet dus mummy houd 'm vast.
When the lady comes back she has a couple of baby crocodiles with her that we can hold for some photo's.

We gaan ook nog op een toer door 't natuurlijk reservaart waar de krokodillen in 't wild wonen.
Hiervoor gaan we in de boot door 't man gemaakte kanaaltje.
We moeten alles binnen boord houden want de krokodillen kunnen uit 't water omhoog springen.
vorige week was d'r iemand die z'n camera aan een stok buiten boord stak en die camera heeft ie nu dus niet meer.
We are also going on the the other tour that  shows us how the crocodiles live in the wild and for that one we go on a boat.
We have to keep everything inside the boat because the crocodiles will jump up and try to grab anything that sticks outside the boat.
Last week someone lost his go cam that he had outside the boat on selfie stick.

Hier liggen ze lekker in de shaduw op een eilandje.
Here they are in the shade.

De toer gids kon 't mooi vertellen.
The guide was good to listen to.

Toen we weer terug kwamen was d'r ook weer een andere wandel toer terug en deze keer kwam 't vrouwtje met bleu tong hagedissen rond.
Eerst wilde Broc d'r wel een vast houden maar op 't laatste moment toch maar niet.
When we got back the lady was back from another tour and this time she showed some blue tong lizards.
Broc was keen holding one, but at the last moment he pigged out.

Dus houd daddy 'm maar even vast.
En by the way Broc z'n haar is zo nat van 't zweet zo warm is 't hier.
So this time daddy held him.
By the way the wet hair is Broc's sweat, that's how hot it is here.

Broc ziet dat ie z'n tongetje uit steekt dus doet hij dat ook.
When Broc sees the blue tong pokes out his tong he shows him he can do that to.

Na de reptielen gaan we kijken bij de andere dieren die 't park heeft.
De dingo wil Broc z'n ijsje wel.
After the reptiles we go for a look at the other animals in the park.
The Dingo is keen for Broc's ice cream.

Terug bij de ingang in 't winkeltje hebben ze leuke dingen waar je op kunt rijden en Broc wil op de krokodil.
Back at the shop Broc want's to ride the crocodile.

Maar 't leukste vond ie de kraan, die deed 't echt en hij kon d'r geen genoeg van krijgen.
But then he realizes the digger is a ride to and he can't get enough from it.

Het was vort erg laat en Broc was erg moe, maar de bus kwam pas laat hier weer langs, dus liepen we naar de eerste stop waar de bus kwam we moesten ons haaste want we hadden, maar 10 min en 't was ongeveer een kilometer lopen dus Broc ging op daddy z'n rug.
It was late and Broc was tired and needed a sleepy, but the bus didn't come back to the park for another hour and a half so we walked to the first stop he did go to.
We had to rush cause we didn't have much time to get there and we didn't want to miss it so daddy took Broc on his shoulders.

s'Middags na 't slaapje gingen we weer lekker in 't zwembad en deze keer namen we de band mee om te spelen.
That afternoon after his sleepy we spent the rest of the day in the pool again.

Omdat 't bijna pasen is had Broc een chocolade paashaas gekregen.
In between swimming Broc enjoys his Easter bunny.
