plezier op ons stuk grond - fun at the block

We hebben weer een kamp vuurtje. Daddy heeft een vuur vergunning en we gaan het hout opstoken waar we niks aan hebben.

Voor de gezelligheid hebben we wat vrienden gevraagd om langs te komen, ook leuk voor Broc, die kan lekker met de andere kinderen spelen.

Mummy heeft wat brood deeg gemaakt, we kneden dat om een stokje en dan gaan we gezellig ons brood bakken boven de vlammen.

De kinderen vonden 't kei skon en lekker met boter en golden syrup.

We are going to burn the scrap wood that's laying around.

We asked some friends to come for dinner and because they are bringing the kids it's heaps of fun for Broc to.

Mummy made damper dough that we wrap around a stick and cook over the flames. The kids loved it, especially with the butter and golden syrup.

Mummy heeft de hammock opgehangen en Broc ligt lekker te schommelen.
Mummy hang up the hammock and Broc is swinging in the trees.

Het heeft vanacht weer geregend en de auto zit onder de modder, maar geen noot Broc kan goed met de waterslang overweg.
After the rain last night the car is very muddy, but no worries Broc knows how to handle a water hose.

Een paar dagen per week gaat Broc naar een na school opvang centre. Z'n beste maatje gaat daar ook naar toe, maar die gaan verhuizen en vandaag is de laatste dag voordat ze vertrekken dus even snel een foto'tje van de twee vriendjes.
Broc goes to after school care a couple of day's per week, his best buddy goes there as well, but they are moving and this is his last day, so quick one last photo before he goes.

We're going to miss you

regen regen en nog meer regen - rain rain and more rain

Het regent me toch, 't komt met bakken uit de lucht, maar Broc vind 't helemaal niet erg.

Met z'n regenjas en laarzen rijd ie lekker door alle plassen.

It's pissing down rain, but Broc doesn't mind at all he is loving it.

Gelukkig waren we op ons stukje grond, want de dam ging erg hard omhoog en 't water was bijna over de rand. Toen hadden we een probleempje want waar 't over de rand ging zou 't uiteindelijk de dam muur meenemen en dan zijn we ons water kwijt.
Gelukkig heeft daddy 't graafmachientje en kon ie samen met Broc een kanaaltje maken aan de rand zodat 't water veilig we kon.
We were lucky to be at the block because the water was coming up so fast it nearly overflowed the dam at the wrong spot. To prevent the dam from braking daddy and Broc dug a trench on the edge so the water could run into the next door neighbours property safely.

Toen 't water eindelijk zo hoog kwam stroomde 't vol geweld bij de buren binnen.
Once the water ran over it pelted through the neighbours paddock.

De rivier is ook weer hoog en een hoop straten in 't dorp staan onder water dus wij gaan ff kijken.
The river broke the banks as well so we are going for a look.

Broc vind 't erg interessant dat 't water zo hoog is en dat de weg onder staat.
Broc find's it very interesting that the water is that high and the roads are under water.

Harmony day

Vandaag is 't feest op school, het is Harmony day. Het is een dag dat we alle verschillende rassen in australie vieren. Het gaat erom dat iedereen elkaar respecteerd en de school heeft vandaag wat leuke activitijten georganiseerd.

De dag begint met een fun run.

Broc heeft d'r hartstikke veel zin in en gaat met z'n klas genootjes in de rij voor de start.

Today is Harmony day and school has organised a fun day for the kids.

To start the day there is a fun run, Broc is very exited to start the race and is waiting in line for the race to start.

Broc heeft heel 't parkoers gerend, mommy was erg onder de indruk.
Hij was 3e (laatste lol) geworden.
Bij de finish lijn stond de juffrouw water ijsjes uit te delen en Broc kon dat extra suiker wel gebruiken na al dat rennen.
Broc ran the whole way mommy was very impressed.
He came 3th (last lol).
The teacher was handing out ice blocks and Broc could use that extra sugar after that big run.

Na de fruit pauze kwam d'r een voorstelling.
Een chinese meneer kwam met de chinese dragons een voorstelling doen.
After the fruit brake a Chinese fellow came to do a show with some chinese dragons and music.

Na de voorstelling met de grote dragons haalde ie de kleintjes tevoorschijn. 
Natuurlijk vonden alle kinderen deze kleine draakjes helemaal geweldig.
Ze pikte wat ouders uit 't publiek om met de draakjes een race te doen en raad eens wie d'r ook uitgekozen werd. MOMMY.
Mommy is wel een beetje competitive en had de race gewonnen. ;))
After the show with the big dragons the Chinese guy went and got the little ones.
The kids loved the little dragons.
They picked some of the parents out of the public and gues who was one of them. MOMMY.
Mommy is only a little bit compatative and so won the race. ;))

Na de race mochten de parents door de kinderen lopen om ze de kleine draakjes te laten zien.
Broc vond 't geweldig en was zo blij.
Then the parents got to walk through the kids to show them the little dragons.
Broc loved it he was so happy.

de show

Het is weer die tijd van 't jaar dat de show in ons dorp is (een soort kermis). We gaan weer een kijkje nemen en de bots auto's zijn d'r ook weer. Vorig jaar vond Broc 't zo leuk dus dit jaar neemt daddy hem weer mee.
Broc is zoveel gegroeid dat ie al bijna zelf kan rijden, jammer dat z'n benen nog net niet lang genoeg zijn.
The show is back on in town and off course we are going again.
Last time Broc had so much fun in the dodgem cars, so daddy is taking him again.
Broc has grown so much he can almost drive himself petty his legs are a bit short.

Als de demolition derby (oude auto's die mekaar total loss proberen te rijden) aan de gang is gaat Broc op 't hekwerk staan zodat ie de auto's goed kan zien.
When the demolition derby is on Broc climbs on the fence so he can have a good look.

Vorig jaar was 't zo koud en 't gras was nat dus dit jaar hadden we ons piknick deken meegenomen.
Lekker droog onder de bips and erg handig om op je rug 't vuurwerk te bewonderen.
After sitting on wet grass last year we came prepared this year and brought our picnick blanket with us.
Good thing we did because it was freezing and at least that kept us dry on our bottoms, plus laying down is a good position to watch the fireworks.

varkentjes race - pig races

Elk jaar hebben we hier varkentjes race in de kroeg we zijn nog nooit geweest, maar deze keer gaan mommy en Broc een kijkje nemen.
Het is hartstikke druk en d'r zijn meerdere wedstijden op de dag.
Broc vind 't geweldig, de varkentjes weten precies wat ze moeten doen.
Wie het eerst het voer vind heeft gewonnen.
Every year the pub has pig races we have never been, but this year mommy takes Broc to check it out.
Broc loves it, the piggies know exactly what to do and who finds the food first wins the race.

D'r is ook een groot lucht matras en 't is druk met kinderen.
They even have an jumping castle and lot's of kids are having fun on it.

Broc is eindelijk over de angst heen dat andere kinderen hem over duwen en hij heeft zo'n plezier.
Broc finally is over his fear of being run over by the other kids on the jumping castle and he is having so much fun.

Het was hartstikke leuk, jammer dat we niet langer konden blijven, maar volgend jaar gaan we zeker weer.
It was so much fun, to bad we could't stay, but next year we are going again for sure.

Mommy d'r vriendin van de paarden curses is in ons dorp voor een wedstrijd en we gaan een kijkje nemen.
Langs haar liggen andere mensen hebben die hebben een hond net zo groot als een pony.
Broc vind 't wel spannend zo'n grote hond, maar hij vind hem wel erg leuk.
Mommy's friend from the horse course is in town for a competition and we are going to have a look.
The people next to her have a dog with them and he is as big as a pony.
Broc is not sure of him, but at the same time he really likes him.

Als mommy d'r vriendin klaar is gaan ze samen de paarden voeren.
When mommy's friend is back from her ride Broc helps her feed the horses.

een handje helpen - a helping hand

Het is weer weekend en d'r moet weer gewerkt worden op 't block.
Broc is meestal niet zo van 't helpen, maar mommy heeft een ideetje, we laden Quadie op met rotsen en dan Broc ze wegbrengen op Quadie naar waar we de rotsen verzamelen.
Broc heeft mommy d'r handschoen aan en samen vullen we de bak op.
Another working weekend at the block, Broc is usually not so keen in helping he much prefers driving around on Quadie, but mommy thought of something that made him a bit more interested.
We fill up the basket on the back of the quad and then Broc can drive it to the pile where we are stocking them.
With mommy's gloves he even helps pick up some rocks.

We moesten een hoop bomen omzagen voor 't huis, al het goede hout heeft daddy in stukken gezaagd voor de kachelen maar nu hebben we bergen met takken rondliggen waar we van af moeten. 
Daddy heeft een vergunning aangevraagd om al dat hout op te stoken, het is een mooie dag daarvoor niet te veel wind dus we gaan d'r voor.
Terwijl 't vuurtje aan de gang is rijd rond op Quadie.
We had to cut down a lot of trees and daddy cut most of it into fire wood, but the branches that are no good for in the wood heater we put in a big pile to be burned.
Daddy has got a fire permit and while the wind is gone we set the pile alight.
While the fire is blazing Broc rides around on his quad.

Daddy en Broc zitten samen lekker van 't vuurtje te genieten.
Daddy and Broc sit together enjoying the fire.

We hebben ook weer een nieuw mijlpaaltje bereikt, Broc kan vort zonder bijwieltjes fietsen.
We have reached another milestone, Broc ditched the side wheels.

Het is weer shave for a cure en Broc magmet z'n haar geverfd en zonder uniform naar school.
Also it is shave for a cure and Broc goes to school with green hair en normal clothes.

mason is so funny

Mason is al weer 2 weekjes en we gaan weer op visite.
Als we aankomen pakt tante Camera het cadeautje dat tante music voor hem heeft achtergelaten voor ze weer terug ging naar Hong-Kong.
Het is een erg groot pakje en Broc is erg nieuwsgierig wat d'r in zit.
Mason is already 2 weeks old and we are going back to see him again.
When we get there aunty Camera grabs the present aunty Music left behind for him before she went back home to Hong-Kong.
It's huge and Broc is very curious to see what's in it.

Een kegel setje, wat leuk daar kunnen we wat lol mee hebben.
A ten pin bowling set, we can have some fun with that.

Als Mason wakker is wil Broc hem op z'n schoot, hij vind 't zo leuk en Mason kijkt hem zo onder bewondering aan dat Broc zegt "Mason is so funny".
When Mason wakes up Broc want's to hold him. Mason looks at him full of wonder and Broc says "Mason is so funny".

Na de visite gaan we weer naar 't strand and poppy graaft een groot gat waar Broc in kan zitten.
After the visit we go back to the beach and poppy digs a big hole that he can sit in.

Poppy vult 't gat weer op met Broc d'r in en Broc speelt met z'n monstertruck in 't zand.
Poppy fills up the hole and Broc plays with his monstertruck.

Gran is vandaag ook van de party en Broc gaat langs haar zitten om samen met de monstertruck the spelen.
Gran is joining the party today and Broc goes to sit next to her and they play with the monstertruck.

Daddy heeft ook een groot gat gegraven en samen gaan ze d'r in zitten terwijl poppy and mommy 't gat dicht gooien.
Daddy also dug a big hole and Broc goes to sit on his lap while mommy and poppy fill the hole.

Als Broc van daddy's schoot af is maken we zeemeerman van daddy.
When Broc goes off daddy's lap we make a merman of daddy.

weekendje zee - weekend at the beach

We hebben d'r een nieuw huisdier bij. Haantje. We hebben hem gered van de pot, bij ons kan ie lekker z'n leventje door en hopelijk hebben we volgend jaar kuikentjes.
Haantje is erg tam en Broc vind 't geweldig want de kippen zijn niet zo vriendelijk.
Meet Haantje our new pet. We saved him from the pot, at our place he can happily live free and hopefully he becomes friends with the chickens so we get little chickens next year.
Haantje is very friendly and Broc loves the fact that he can pet him.

Het is poppy z'n verjaardag en we gaan een weekendje naar hem toe. Als we aankomen is 't etenstijd en nemen we hem mee uit eten.
It's poppy's birthday and it's dinnertime by the time we get there so we take him out to dinner.

De volgende dag gaan we naar 't strand, maar eerst gaan we mee naar waar poppy werkt en terwijl hij daar doet wat ie doen moet voeren wij de vissen aan de jetty.
De vissen springen zo hoog uit 't water voor 't brood dat ze broc helemaal nat spetten.
The next day we go to the beach, but first poppy has to do some jobs so we go with him and while he does whatever it is he needs to do we feed the fish.
The fish jump so high out of the water to get to the bread they splat Broc wet.

Het is een lekkere warme dag en we hebben Broc z'n boogie board mee hij vind 't geweldig in de golven.
It's a nice warm day and we have Broc's boogie board with us. He loves it, can't get enough of the waves.

Het water is leuk maar 't zand zeker ook en natuurlijk zijn we voorbereid met Broc z'n zand speeltjes. Nu graven en zandkastelen bouwen.
The water is fun, but the sand is equally fun and we have Broc sand toys with us so we can dig and build sand castles.

De emmer voor de zand kastelen word al snel gebruikt om te pranken en voordat daddy 't in de gaten heeft krijgt een een emmer water over z'n hoofd.
The bucket for the sandcastles is quickly transformd into a water bucket and before daddy realises what is happening he is wearing a bucket of water.

Poppy vond 't erg grappig, maar Broc was voorbereid hij had nog een klein emmertje vol met water met poppy z'n naam d'r op.
Poppy thought that was very funny, but Broc was prepared and he had a little one ready with poppy's name on it.

Ff afkoelen dus Broc gaat weer 't water in en neemt z'n board mee.
Time to cool of so Broc takes his board and runs back into the water.

Mommy en daddy zijn erg onder de indruk want Broc heeft nog nooit zelf zo ver 't water ingeweest. Hij zegt zelf dat ie niet zo goed kan zwemmen, maar we blijven d'r goed bij en laten hem lekker z'n gang gaan.
Mommy and daddy are very surprised, he never goes this far in the water. He says himself "I'm not a very good swimmer", but we stay near and just let him go for it.

De monstertrucks hebben we ook bij en die maken awsum tracks in 't zand.
The monstertrucks love racing in the sand and they make awsum tracks.

We hebben een geweldig leuke dag en morgen gaan we weer.
We are having a great day and go back tomorrow.

Na 't strand gaan we gezellig lunchen en Broc heeft z'n favourite boterham, Bacon and eggs.
After the beach we go for lunch and broc has his favourite "Bacon and eggs".

laatste dagen bij 't kinderdagverblijf / the last days at daycare

Volgende week begint 't nieuwe schooljaar en dit jaar is Broc aan de beurd om naar school te gaan.

De juffrouw heeft een gezellig dagje gepland en ze doen vanallerande spelletjes voor Broc's laatste dag.

The new school year starts next week and this year it's Broc's turn to start school.

It's the last day at home day centre and the teacher has organised a whole day of fun and play with all the kids.

Broc en mommy zijn druk geweest met cakes and cupcakes voor traktaties en Ie en Cheesy (Broc's slaap tutje) waren de inspiratie voor 't lekkers.

Broc vind de kleine muisjes (Ie) geweldig.

Broc and mommy have been busy making cake and cupcakes to treat. Ee and Cheesy (Broc's sleep comforters) are the subjects we used, since he goes nowhere without them.

Broc loves the little mouses (Ee).

Alle kinders zijn blij met de cupcakes en vinden ze erg lekker.

Als mommy hem ophaalt zegt I eat Ee met een grote lach.

All the kids love the cupcakes and when mommy picks him up he tells her full of exitement how he eat Ee.

Omdat d'r zoveel meer kinderen en leraressen zijn op 't andere dagverblijf een paar dagen later hebben we een grote cake en cupcakes gemaakt, zodat iedereen die de laatste jaren voor Broc heeft gezorgd een stukje kan hebben.

Op de cake hebben we Ie en Cheesy in hun echte grote gemaakt van fondant.

Because there are a lot more kids and teachers at the other daycare centre we made a cake as well as cupcakes so everyone that has looked after Broc could have a piece.

This time we made a life size Ee and Cheesy from fondant to decorate the cake.

Een paar dagen later komen ze de water tank brengen. Hopelijk is die vol voordat we gaan bouwen.

A couple of days later they are delivering our water tank, hopefully it will be full by the time we move there.

Als daddy de schauffeur aan 't helpen is met z'n vrachtauto zitten wij in de auto wachten.

When daddy is helping the truckie we are waiting in the car.
